What actually applies here.
Regulation and data
The DPDP Act 2023 applies to every business here, and its Rules, notified in November 2025, give most obligations eighteen months to take effect, so the time to fix consent and retention in customer systems is before that date. CERT-In's directions of April 2022, which require cyber incidents to be reported within six hours and logs to be kept for 180 days, apply to Indian companies generally and are checked closely by government buyers. Health tech teams working with Delhi hospitals should check whether their software falls under the Medical Devices Rules, 2017, administered by CDSCO, which is headquartered in Delhi. The Delhi Start-up and Incubation Policy approved in 2026 funds incubation in Delhi institutions and carries no data rules.

Can the AI handle Hindi as well as English?

We still run on Tally and Excel. Is that a problem?
No. Most builds for established businesses start from existing spreadsheets and accounting exports. We work out which data moves into the new system, which stays where it is, and how the two stay in sync, before any code is written.
Why would we use an overseas engineer rather than a local integrator?
Often you should use both. An integrator holding the prime contract and the local relationship, with a specialist doing the AI and data layer underneath, is a common and sensible structure here. What you should not do is pay integrator rates for engineering that one person is actually doing.
Can the system run entirely inside our own infrastructure?
