A macro espresso film that pours as you scroll, with a live extraction gauge counting to 28 seconds.
Kiln opens on a slow-motion espresso pour that the visitor controls with the scroll. Three chapters walk from roast to pull to crema while a live extraction panel counts seconds, pressure and yield. Below the film sit single origin cards, a short bar menu and a subscription form that books the first roast.

How does the immersive scroll effect work?+
The film is exported as a sequence of compressed still frames. As the visitor scrolls, a small script works out how far through the section they are and draws the matching frame on a canvas, so the scroll bar becomes the playhead. It is the same technique Apple uses on its product pages, with no video player involved.
Do I need to know how to code?+
Changing text, colours and images takes basic HTML, and every section is clearly separated in the file. For anything bigger, such as new pages, a CMS, a booking system or a store, we can customise it for you and have it live on your domain within a week.
